Experience

Steve served in the Arizona House for eight years, holding positions such as Speaker Pro-Tem and Majority Leader. He later transitioned to the State Senate and played a crucial role in passing significant policies, including the largest tax cuts in state history, the Arizona Jobs Bill, and SB1070. His legislative contributions extended to authoring important laws, such as Arizona’s transparency laws, the American Civics Act, and the ban on affirmative action. Steve maintained a consistent voting record, supporting pro-life, pro-family, pro-2nd Amendment, and pro-border security stances. Recognized with awards such as the Hero of the Taxpayer and Friend of the Family, he also actively supported Arizona’s veterans and bases, contributing to the arrival of F-35’s at Luke AFB. Steve served as an Arizona delegate for Donald Trump at the National Convention, defending the President on national TV against liberal figures like Jorge Ramos and Chris Cuomo. After his legislative service, he returned to the private sector and currently serves as Ministry Pastor at Catalyst Church. Steve has also held the position of Executive Director for Desert Reach, focusing on helping inner-city high school students graduate and succeed in life. His involvement extends to efforts to improve the integrity and accuracy of elections. Celebrating their 13th Anniversary this year, Steve and his wife Melissa, a Charter School Administrator, are proud parents of two daughters, Addy and Emmy.
