BORDER SECURITY

I will coordinate with state, local and national law enforcement to go after the cartels who engage in drug trafficking, weapons trafficking and human trafficking. We have a Fentanyl crisis that is out of control, destroying families and killing people. These are very serious problems that demand serious action — not an endless succession of press conferences at the border with all bark and no bite. Our border can only be secured through a combined team effort with county sheriffs, local police departments, state agencies like the Department of Public Safety, and federal agencies like the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Justice.

CONSUMER FRAUD

Morgan Loew of 3TV/CBS5 recently reported that Arizonans made 15,000 consumer fraud complaints to the Attorney General’s office during the past year, but the current AG diverted millions away from the Consumer Fraud and Protection Fund to other politically-motivated funds. This is outrageous, and I spoke out about it. When I served as Arizona Corporation Commissioner, we prosecuted scammers and returned stolen money to the victims. The Attorney General’s office needs to crack down on fraud and cyber scams, which disproportionately harm our seniors, as well as many others. As your Attorney General, I vow to investigate and prosecute these con artists and swindlers, and will restore the funding to do so.

CORPORATE ACCOUNTABILITY

Corporations won’t get a free pass when I’m Attorney General. As a former Arizona Corporation Commissioner, I have the experience and strength to not back down. When I served on the Arizona Corporation Commission, it was my job to protect Arizonans from bad actors, including multi-billion dollar corporations. I never backed down then, and I won’t back down as your Attorney General.
